As Mayor, I’m proud to welcome you to our beautiful and historic community, located just west of Shreveport along I-20, approximately two miles from the Texas state line. Greenwood has a population of approximately 3,200 residents and is rich in history and community spirit. Our town features several historic sites that reflect our deep roots, and we take pride in preserving our heritage while planning for the future. Both residents and visitors can enjoy our farmers market, various events in the park, and a range of local attractions, all providing opportunities for family fun. Kids will have a blast at Gators and Friends, while golf enthusiasts can tee off at the Crooked Hollow Golf Course, cowboys and cowgirls can spur into action at the yearly rodeo event put on by Open Range Fellowship and don’t miss our annual town event—the Pioneer Heritage Festival held every September, celebrating with food, crafts, music, and fun for all ages.
